Longest handmade noodle: China sets new world record
Weishan county, China -- Thousands of participants under the supervision of Chef Su, gathered at a square in Weishan county of Dali Bai autonomous prefecture in Southwest China's Yunnan province, made a 1,704-meter-long stretch of noodle within 25 minutes -
setting the new  world record for the Longest handmade noodle.

The previous Guinness world record for the Longest noodle measured 548.7 m (1,800 ft 2 in) in length and 3.3 mm in diameter, and was made by Hiroshi Kuroda in Nasu, Tochigi, Japan.
Guinness World Records also recognized the longest rice noodle, which measured 548.7 m (1,800 ft 2 in) and was made by Council for Hakka Affairs Executive Yuan (Taiwan).
According to Guinness World Records, the longest line of bowls of noodles consisted of 1,181 noodle bowls and measured 191 m (626 ft 7 in). It was achieved by Coca-Cola (Thailand) Limited at Parc Paragon, Bangkok, Thailand.
The World's Longest handmade noodle was displayed during a noodle-making activity at a square in Weishan county of Dali Bai autonomous prefecture in Southwest China's Yunnan province, reports the China Daily. 
A total of 15 kilograms of flour and 2.5 kilograms of oil were used in the creation of the Longest Noodle In The World.

The production took place under the supervision of a chef, surnamed Su, and thousands of participants dressed in traditional outfits, got their hands dirty to beat the previous Guinness World record.
