Largest Car Wash: CARSTAR sets world record (Video)
MILFORD, OH, USA -- More than 140 CARSTAR stores throughout the United States and Canada washed 4,918 cars in eight hours - setting the new world record for Largest Car Wash - Multiple Venues. The previous Guinness world record for the most cars washed in eight hours at multiple venues was 4,105 and was achieved by CARSTAR during the Soaps It Up! National Car Wash Fundraiser event.
Guinness World Records also recognized the world record for the largest collection of soaps: it belongs to Carol Vaughan (UK) who has collected 1,331 individual bars of soap.
CARSTAR donated 100 percent of the ticket sales to the Make-A-Wish Foundation of America and Cystic Fibrosis in Canada. More than $67,000 was raised through the event.

CARSTAR stores in Canada have been conducting the "Soaps It Up!" Car Wash for the past eight years. This is the third time the program has been done in the United States.
