pork burger - Humboldt sets world record
HUMBOLDT, Iowa, USA -- Sponsored by the Downtown Humboldt
Enrichment Group event committee, a 240 pound, 42 inches across
and 10 inches thick pork burger was cooked during the Downtown

Cook J.D. Myers says it took two days to
prepare the Largest
pork burger in the world, which was placed in a specially
constructed pan and placed in a cooler at a local Hy-Vee grocery
store overnight. The store also baked the bun for the World's
Largest pork burger.
The meat has all been donated and donations
have come in from Miller's Landing, Fireside, Vinny's BBQ,
Fareway and Hy-Vee. Joey Krug and Bob Krug donated the custom
build aluminum pan.

in downtown Dakota City, has volunteered to cook the burger.
Organizers says that a pork burger
that weighed 127 pounds was cooked in Des Moines two years
ago, but was never recognized by Guinness World Records.
The Pork and Putt Classic, which also featured
a two-man team miniature golf tournament, was organized by
the Humboldt Downtown Enrichment Group as a way to bring the
community together downtown.
