  Largest skateboard - world record set by California designers

 CALIFORNIA, USA--California designers have created a giant skateboard, an exact replica of a normal skateboard but is 12 times longer, wider and taller, measuring 36ft 7 in long - setting the new world record for the Largest skateboard.

  Three people spent one month making the World's Largest Skateboard from steel, wood and grip tape in California, United States.

   The World's Largest Skateboard is so big it has to be fitted with racing tyres from a car and transported on a flat bed truck.

    Joe Ciaglia, a director of California Skateparks, designed the Largest Skateboard in The World, which measures 3ft 7in tall and 8ft wide. He said: "The board is about fun - it was fun to build, it is fun to ride and it is fun to see everyone's reaction to it."

    The World's Biggest Skateboard cost over £12,600 to make, weighs 260 stones and can be riden by up to ten people at a time.    

    According to Guinness World Records, the previous World's Largest skateboard measured 11.14 m (36 ft 7 in) long, 2.63 m (8 ft 8 in) wide and 1.10 m (3 ft 7.5 in) high; it was designed and produced by Rob Dyrdek and Joe Ciaglia (both USA) in Los Angeles, California, USA.

    The Guinness World record for the most consecutive skateboard frontside ollies (halfpipe) is 348 and was set by Keith Baldassare (USA) in Merritt Island, Florida, USA.
