Longest Bench: world record set by Pazardzhik
Pazardzhik, Bulgaria -- The Pazardzhik bench, designed by architect Dimitar Boyukliev, is 1 015-meter long and can seat about 2 020 people at once - setting the new world record for the Longest Bench (made from wood).

The Guinness world record for the longest wooden bench is 613.13 m (2,011.5 ft) long and was built by a group of people from Osieczna at the stadium in Szlachta, Poland.
Guinness World Records also recognized the most bench presses of a person in one minute: 126, achieved by Derek Boyer (Australia) at the Rod Laver Arena in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia.
The World's Longest Bench, in the city's park "Svoboda" (Freedom), is being built for a year now.
The Longest Bench in The World is 1 015-meter long and can seat about 2 020 people at once.
The design belongs to architect Dimitar Boyukliev. The bench does not disconnect anywhere and goes around the trees.
The announcement was made by Pazardzhik Mayor, Todor Popov.
The contractor is "Vodno Stopanstvo," working on the order of the City Hall. The idea belongs to prominent local businessman, Blago Solov, owner of the large furniture-store chain "Yavor."
The cost is estimated at BGN 120 000.
