Longest kickball game: Connecticut Teams set world record (HD Video)
NAUGATUCK, Conn., USA--Two kickball teams, Team Sammy and Team Juliana, named after a pair of young cancer survivors, of the World Adult Kickball Association,
played kickball for 54 hours in a borough park in Naugatuck while raising money for cancer research; the game ended after 345 innings with a score of 164-117- setting the new world record for the Longest kickball game,
according to World Record Academy: www.worldrecordacademy.com/.
The Guinness world record for the longest marathon playing kickball was 51 hr 00 min by students at Padua Franciscan High School (USA) in Parma, Ohio, USA, from 27-29 May 2011. The game lasted 474 innings and resulted in a final score of 431-306.
Guinness World Records also recognized the world record for the longest marathon playing flag football; it lasted 24 hr and was achieved by the Mercy Project (USA) at Veteran's Park in College Station, Texas, USA.
42 players (click for the list) and dozens of supporters cheered as players passed the 51 hour record for continuous play.
There were tears and hugs, then the ball rolled toward home plate to start the 325th inning.
In total, the teams played 54 hours, with five-minute breaks allotted for each hour.
There were 21 people on each team, and players came from as far away as Atlanta and New Hampshire.
"It was, honestly, one of the most amazing experiences of my life," said Sean Cummings, the event coordinator after the 51-hour mark was hit.

In total, the players raised $41,000 in small donations toward Kick-It.org, a sports-related non-profit that provides funding for doctors searching for the cure of child cancer.
