[May 13] FORT KAYS State,KS / A Kansas grandmother has set a
new world record.
95-year-old Nola Ochs became the oldest
person to ever receive a bachelor's degree on Saturday. She
received her degree from Governor Kathleen Sebelius at Fort Hays
State, 77-years after she took her first class in 1930. She graduated
next to her 22-year-old granddaughter. Ochs has become something
of a local celebrity. Her story has been featured on both the CBS
Evening News and the program Inside Edition.
