The Guinness World Records' record for the largest hula hoop workout consisted of 407 participants and was achieved by North Lanarkshire Leisure LTD with Powerhoop UK/Innertrak LTD (UK) in Motherwell, UK, on 2 March 2013.
Guinness World Records also recognized the world record for the largest dance fitness class; it involved 6,630 participants and was achieved at an event organised by the Gobierno Delegacional de Iztapalapa (Mexico), at the Plaza de la Constitución, Mexico City, Mexico, on 25 March 2012.
To be eligible for the world record, organizers at each location had to film the session, take pictures of participants and provide a sign-in sheet.
ViSalus, recognized in 2012 for the World's Largest Simultaneous Flash Mob with celebrity Alfonso Ribeiro, was determined to break another world record with this historic event that anyone could be a part of by simply showing up.
This event also included a strong charity component. For every person who participated in the Jan. 3rd event, ViSalus will donate 30 kids meals through their PROJECT 10™ Kids program.
Everyone who attended the fun walk/run had a great time, and look forward to the next event.
Through ViSalus' Project 10 Kids Challenge, clients who lose 10 pounds of fat or add 10 pounds of lean muscle can submit their results, and the company will donate 90 days' worth of healthy meals to local children, either through Boys and Girls clubs or churches. In 2014, more than 10 million meals were donated.
