Most people making sand angels simultaneously: world record set in Seaside Park (VIDEO)
SEASIDE PARK, NJ, USA -- An estimated 1,600 people attended the Sandy Angels event at Seaside Park to make sand angels while raising funds for for charities; they set the new world record for the Most people making sand angels simultaneously, according to the World Record Academy.

OceanFirst Foundation and New Jersey Natural Gas donated $10 each for the first 1,500 registrants, who each contributed $5 to participate.
The event, held on the eve of the five year anniversary of Superstorm Sandy, will benefit Ocean County Long Term Recovery and the Salvation Army.
The Guinness world record currently stands at 1,387 held by Ludington, Michigan.
