  Largest magic lesson: Israeli magician broke Guinness World Records record (VIDEO)

   
HAIFA, Israel --1573 schoolchildren aged 10-11 gathered in the Haifa's international conference center to break the Guinness World Record for the largest ever magic lesson; the event was led by Israeli magician Cagliostro, in conjunction with Beit Hagefen, a cultural center that works to foster dialogue and coexistence between the Jewish and Arab communities in the city; children from twenty-five schools across Haifa attended the historic event, with representatives from every ethnic and religious community, including Jews, Muslims, Christians, Bahais and Druze,
according to the World Record Academy.

  The Guinness World Records' record for the largest practical science lesson is 1,339 and was achieved by The Royal Society of Chemistry, supported by The British Council and The Northern Ireland Science Festival (all UK), at the Odyssey Arena, in Belfast, Northern Ireland, on 24 February 2015.

  Guinness World Records also recognized the world record for the largest cookery lesson; it is 3,687 participants and was achieved by Qingdao MIXc (China) in Qingdao, Shandong, China on 14 February 2015. The lesson taught participants how to make jiaozi (dumplings).

    The 10 to 11-year-olds, led by Israeli magician Cagliostro, gathered in the Haifa International Conference Center to break the record.

   The event, dubbed Haifa Magic for Peace and held in conjunction with Beit Hagefen, a cultural center that works to foster dialogue and coexistence between the Jewish and Arab communities in the city, was attended by 25 schools.

   Representatives from every ethnic and religious community, including Jews, Muslims, Christians, Bahais and Druze, attended.

    Cagliostro was aiming to break an existing Guinness World Records world record set by Scottish magician Kevin McMahon in 2012.

   The massive lesson, dubbed "Haifa Magic for Peace," brought together Jewish, Christian and Muslim students from across Haifa for a day of fun and cross-cultural interaction.

   The event was hosted in partnership with Beit HaGefen, a Haifa based Jewish-Arab Culture Center, the Haifa Municipality Department of Education – Department of Social Value Education, and volunteers from Maarag, a Tel Aviv based organization promoting multicultural society in Israel.

   According to the magician, he set the wrld record for the largest magic lesson in August 2012 with 644 students. Just two months later, Kevin McMahon broke it with 1,063 students.
