  Largest gathering of people dressed as a princess: world record set in Wakefield (VIDEO)
   
   WAKEFIELD, UK -- A total of 433 princesses descended on Wakefield during an event organized by the Trinity Walk shopping centre and Forget Me Not Children's Hospice; they have set the new world record for the Largest gathering of people dreessed as a princess, according to the World Record Academy.

Trinity Walk shopping centre teamed-up with Huddersfield's Forget Me Not Children's Hospice to attempt to smash the Guinness World Record for the largest gathering of people dressed as a princess. A whopping 433 were counted in the official attempt area, beating the current record of 419.

 The Guinness World Records world record for the largest gathering of people dressed as princesses is 419, achieved by Mayflower Theatre and Countess Mountbatten Hospice Charity (both UK), in Southampton, UK, on 19 December 2015

     Guinness World Records also recognized the world record for the largest gathering of people dressed as comic book characters; it is 1,784, achieved by the Salt Lake Comic Con (USA) in Salt Lake City, Utah, USA, on 25 September 2015.

    Trinity Walk shopping centre teamed up with Forget Me Not Children's Hospice to attempt to smash the Guinness World Record for the largest gathering of people dressed as a princess.

    A total of 433 were counted in the official attempt area, beating the current world record of 419.

    Forget Me Not Children's Hospice in Huddersfield supports local children with life shortening conditions and their families in West Yorkshire and must raise £3.8 million each year to continue running their service.
