Largest Kebbe Dish-world record set by the
Maydan Institute
EHDEN, Lebanon -- The Maydan Institute organised
a food festival during which 25 women cooked a 233 kilograms
plate of Kebbe ( a dish of minced meat and cracked wheat)-setting
the world record for the Largest
Kebbe Dish.

To create the giant circular 20-square-metre
(215-square-foot) kebbe they had to mix 120 kilos of mince,
80 litres of olive oil, 80 kilos of cracked wheat, five kilos
of salt and a mere kilo of pepper.
After the Largest
Kebbe Dish was cooked the world record certificate
was officially handed over to Rima Franjieh, wife of MP Sleiman
Franjieh.
