Largest shoe: Electric Sekki breaks Guinness world record (VIDEO)
HONG KONG, China -- Students from SCAD Hong Kong collaborated with Electric sekki, the exclusive distributor for Superga in Hong Kong and China to mark the launch of Italian shoemaker Superga's first flagship store in Hong Kong by creating a giant shoe; measuring in at an incredible 20 feet long by 8 feet wide by 11 feet high, the shoe is an exact replica of Superga's 2750 Classic model and sets the new world record for the Largest shoe,

The Guinness world record for the largest shoe measures 6.40 m (20 ft 11.97 in) x 2.39 m (7 ft 10.09 in) and is 1.65 m (5 ft 4.96 in) high and was created by Electric Sekki (Hong Kong) in Hong Kong, China.
Guinness World Records also recognized the world record for the largest sports shoe/sneaker; it measures 4 m (13 ft 1 in) long, 1.6 m (5 ft 2 in) wide and 1.7 m ( 5 ft 6 in) high and was created by Launch Group (UK) in Cardiff, UK.

SCAD was invited to participate to give the launch an artistic edge, youthful perspective and local design sensibility, the company said.
The partnership also offered students the chance to extend their learning experience beyond the classroom walls.
