The Guinness World Records' record for the largest orchestra playing on bamboo instruments was formed by 3011 people and was achieved during an event organised by Mr. Benny J. Mamoto in Tondano Maesa Stadium, Tondano, Indonesia.

Guinness World Records also recognized the world record for the most concerts performed by a symphony orchestra is 14,000 by the New York Philharmonic (USA) over the last 162 years. The orchestra's archive has the first performance on 7 December 1842 and the 14,000 on 18 December 2004.

Conducted by James Morrison himself, musicians young and old performed a medley of tunes including Banjo Paterson's iconic Waltzing Matilda, Beethoven's Ode to Joy and Queen's We Will Rock You with crowds of supporters who lined Suncorp Stadium to cheer them on.

QMF now also holds the official Guinness World Records' title for the 'Largest Orchestra' and The Australian Book of Records title for the 'Largest Brass Ensemble', 'Largest Woodwind Ensemble', 'Largest Clarinet Ensemble' and 'World's Largest Orchestra'.
